Privacy Policy

Timetablr ("we", "us", or "our") provides a class schedule app for university students on iOS, Android, and the web. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can delete your account.

By creating an account or using Timetablr, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

We collect the information needed to run your timetable, campus features, and account:

• Account: full name, email address, phone number (collected at signup so classmates can reach you about Lost & Found), password (stored as a one-way hash), university and program if you join a campus, or independent-student status
• Schedule: courses, class times, rooms, teachers, attendance, planner tasks, habits, and skill-path progress
• Photos you choose to upload: Lost & Found item photos, timetable screenshots, Class Representative proof, and issue-report attachments. We only access your photo library when you pick an image
• Campus community: Lost & Found listings (item name, description, and campus location as text, not GPS), friend connections, study sessions, and Class Representative announcements. We attach the phone number from your account to a listing; we do not ask for a new number on each post
• Support: issue reports you submit
• Device and notifications: app version, operating system, and a push-notification token if you enable reminders. We do not collect precise GPS location

We do not collect national ID numbers, payment card details, or HealthKit / Apple Health data. Habits such as “sleep” or “workout” are text you type; they are not read from Apple Health.

We use this information to operate Timetablr:

• Show your timetable, reminders, planner, habits, and skills
• Let you connect with classmates, share study sessions, and receive Class Representative updates
• Run Lost & Found, including admin review before a listing is shown to other students. Your signup phone number is attached so a classmate can contact you about the item
• Send class reminders and account emails if you opt in to notifications
• Extract a timetable from a screenshot you upload
• Keep the Service secure, debug crashes, and comply with law

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data for advertising or marketing.

Some features share information with other Timetablr users. We also use infrastructure providers to run the app. We do not sell your data.

• Classmates at your campus: your name on friend lists, study sessions you create, and Class Representative announcements sent to your class
• Lost & Found: after an admin approves a listing, other students at your campus can see the item details, photo, campus location text, and the phone number from your account, so they can reach you about the item
• Friends: people you accept as friends can see parts of your timetable that you share in the app
• Service providers: hosting and database (including Vercel and Supabase), email delivery, and push delivery through Apple, Google, and Expo. They process data only to provide those services
• Legal and safety: if required by law, or to prevent abuse of the Service

Your signup phone number is shown on approved Lost & Found listings. We do not use it for marketing.

The only third-party AI Timetablr uses is Google Gemini, and only when you upload a timetable screenshot so we can read class times from the image. There is no in-app AI chat. We do not use that image to advertise to you.

• Timetable upload: the screenshot you pick is sent to Google Gemini to extract your classes. This happens only when you choose to upload

Choosing Upload timetable is your consent to send that image to Gemini for extraction only.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information:

• Data is encrypted in transit with HTTPS / TLS
• Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, not in plain text
• Staff access to personal data is limited to what is needed to run and support the Service

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Use a unique password for Timetablr.

We keep your account and related data for as long as the account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Delete Account.

• Deletion is permanent. When you confirm Delete Account, we delete your account and associated personal data from our production systems immediately. There is no recovery period
• This includes your profile, timetable, planner, habits, skills progress, friend connections, Lost & Found posts, and push tokens we stored for your account
• We may keep a minimal record if the law requires it (for example, a fraud or abuse investigation already underway). We do not keep a copy of your account “just in case”

In the iOS and Android apps, account deletion is in Settings and does not require you to email us first.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing.

• Delete your account and data from Settings in the app
• Update name, email, password, and program from Settings
• Turn push notifications off in Settings or in your device system settings
• Email us (below) for a copy of your data or other privacy requests. We aim to reply within 30 days

The website may use cookies that are required to keep you signed in and to remember theme preferences. The iOS and Android apps store login tokens and preferences on your device (including in secure storage where available).

• We do not use advertising networks, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites
• We do not use Apple’s App Tracking Transparency APIs because we do not track you for ads
• Push notifications are optional. The app works if you decline them

On the website, you can block non-essential cookies in your browser. Blocking login cookies will sign you out of the web app.

Timetablr is built for university and higher-education students, including independent learners whose campus is not listed yet. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

• You create your own account. A university may appear as a campus option; that does not mean the university provisioned or controls your account unless we say so separately
• We do not use student data for advertising or to build marketing profiles
